Conquest Lathe

 The Chester Conquest Lathe is a compact and lightweight machine in the fact that it is supplied with full variable speed as standard and is just about portable at 34kg.  Constructed almost entirely of cast iron with ground, hardened bed ways, a fully featured saddle and carriage assembly, a tailstock with spindle taper turning capability and a variable speed spindle drive through a 2 speed gearbox, giving a speed range of 100-2500 rpm.  This means there is no changing of belts involved, only turning of a knob! The Conquest lathe can cut Left Hand Threads by the simple operation of moving a lever on the back of the headstock.  The Conquest comes in either with a Metric Leadscrew or an Imperial Leadscrew with a change wheel set gives metric thread range of 0.5-2.5mm pitch and the Imperial thread range of 12-52TPI (you can also buy the leadscrew as a kit).  The Conquest can be used for turning, counter facing, spindles, prototypes, models and much, much more. Automatic feed. Ideal for use in R & D labs, workshops, engineering and educational settings.
